The Castle in ErlangenThe plans for the Castle were drafted by Antonio della Porta and Jaques Bourdin de la Fond in 1700. After Portas death in 1702, Gottfried von Gedeler completed the construction of the residence for Margrave Friedrich comissioned by Christian Ernst. Margrave Friedrich was also the founder of the Erlangen University. Today the castle houses the Administration Staff of the Friedrich-Alexander University.  Panorama
